AN INTRODUCTION TO COACHING

Paragraph 1 Coaching is a useful tool in today’s challenging world of business and commerce. Companies are downsizing, merging and restructuring and there is far more job transition than before. Sometimes managers are no longer equipped to do their work because their jobs have changed so much. They were originally trained to do one job but that training cannot be applied to the job they are doing today. Coaching is also one of the most powerful tools that a leader has in order to improve the performance of his team. 

Paragraph 2 An individual who enters into a coaching partnership will usually adopt new perspectives and be able to better appreciate opportunities for self-development. Confidence will usually grow and the individual will think more clearly and be more confident in his roles. In terms of business, coaching often leads to an increase in productivity and more personal satisfaction. All of this leads to a growth in self-esteem. 

Paragraph 3 In a coaching partnership the coach first needs to listen carefully in order to fully understand the individual’s situation. He needs to support and encourage forward-planning and decision-making. A coach also needs to help an individual recognise his own potential and the opportunities that are on offer. A good coach will guide an individual to fresh perspectives. Finally, the coach must respect the confidentiality of his partner.

Abstract


Original article: Chilean teenager's sexual life.


Aim: 
Knowing the sexually active adolescents,the number of teen who was protected during sex and sexual information and purchase.


Methods
The study group is the young Chilean population, including pregnant teenagers.
Data were collected through polls.
Home visits were also conducted to assess social and family environment of teenagers' homes.


Result
40% of adolescents in Chile have had sex, this percentage 47% are men and 32% are women.
The study also showed that early sexual relationships are in rural communities and areas
suburban.
In 2009 there were 39,627 teenage pregnancies according to the DEIS. Half of these pregnancies occurred after 6 months of the initiation of sexual activity, and 20% during the first month. Of all pregnant teens are 63% low socioeconomic status, 49% of an average level and 17% of high level.


30% of adolescents used a contraceptive method and 70% of youth do not use any contraceptive method because they believe they can not have a pregnant teenager.
Statistics show that during the year after giving birth, 30% of girls become pregnant again, and between 25% and 50% during the second year.
68% of adolescents are informed about sexuality with their friends, 15% from television, magazines 8%, 5% with their families and 4% by other means.


Conclusion
Is  important to educate the adolescent population through school projects and workshops for families, to reduce the number of teenage pregnancies because of ignorance about sexuality and the use of contraceptive methods.

A little of my life

Hi, my names is Catalina Michelle Lagos Rivas, I am nineteen years old, I am chilean, my birthday is 17 of March, I have always  lived with my grandparents and my mom.I love my family with all my heart and my soul. I initially lived in a home in the commune of Puente Alto, but in 2004 I enroll in Liceo 1 Javiera Carrera and my family decided to move to center of Santiago. In this school I had some problem with a classmates, they bulling me, for this my mather advise me to postulate to other school, Liceo Carmela Carvajal de Prat, in this place I  known a real people, my classmate were good with my and improve my self-esteem.
I study from 2010 the best degree, midwifery in Faculty Medicine of the Universidad de Chile, I love the first professional practice ( second half of 2010),because in that moment I could see and feel, which midwifery is my degree. For two years and three months I have a boyfriend, he makes me very happy, I can fly when I am with him, I forget everything. Sometimes we have a problems, but alway we can find a solution.I love.
